Peer learning is a transformative element in the Youth Business International (YBI) network, sharing the best young entrepreneur support methodologies with colleagues around the world. That’s why we are pleased to announce the third iteration of our Member Learning Exchange Scheme, which will run from April 2026 to March 2027. Applications are now open until 2 February 2026.
This programme is designed to deepen collaboration, foster meaningful connections, and spark new ideas across the YBI network. It provides members with the opportunity to visit peer organisations, learn directly from their models and practices, share stories of challenges and successes, and return with practical insights to enhance their own programmes.
The 2026 edition builds on the success of the previous two rounds, which have supported both individual and group exchanges across a wide range of topics—from financial health and green entrepreneurship, to digital innovation, advocacy, and inclusive programme design. In 2025 alone, 24 member organisations participated in learning exchanges, with 40 individuals applying for the scheme.

“This visit has not only strengthened my technical understanding but also reminded me of the importance of building ecosystems around entrepreneurs—not just financing them.”
– Mangaliso Mngomezulu, Fetola, South Africa
Two of the group visits took place in London, UK, focusing on financial health and impact measurement, and were hosted by members including Hatch Enterprise, TERN, and Launch It, as well as YBI partner Standard Chartered Foundation. Meanwhile, an online exchange on mentoring brought together members from across regions to share effective strategies on mentor and mentee engagement and impact measurement.
Individual exchanges have ranged from Brazil to Korea, tackling topics such as:
Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, with an average satisfaction score of 4.92 out of 5. One participant described the programme as “transformative,” adding:
“The exposure to YBI’s best practices has sparked our creativity, inspiring us to innovate and enhance our future programmes.”
— Mandy Nguyen, Startup Vietnam Foundation

YBI provides a grant to cover core travel costs—economy flights, visas, and three nights’ hotel accommodation. Visiting members are responsible for in-country transport, meals and incidentals. Visits last for three working days, and members are encouraged to select a host organisation from within the YBI network that aligns with their learning objectives.
Applications are open to all YBI member organisations, and while we encourage broad participation, selection is not guaranteed due to budget limits. We especially welcome members who are open to both visiting and hosting.
If you’re considering applying, we encourage you to identify a clear learning goal and research potential host organisations in advance. The more focused your objectives, the more valuable your visit is likely to be, for both you and your host.
“The visit created rare space for honest, peer-driven reflection. It wasn’t just about learning best practices, but also about feeling seen and re-energised.”
— Rashed Mamun, BYEAH, Bangladesh
We can’t wait to see the new connections and collaborations that will emerge from this next round.
