Overview

Find out how YBI members Somo Africa in Kenya and Mebala Youth Studios in Botswana are supporting entrepreneurs with innovation using content that YBI has co-developed and tested with members. See what training content is available and explore ways your organization and entrepreneurs can benefit.

Innovation is not only critical for first-time entrepreneurs that are looking to develop their ideas and pursue business opportunities but to entrepreneurs that have already established a business and are looking to scale and/or address issues and challenges that they are facing.

Innovation can be a confusing topic because there are so many different kinds of innovations out there and everyone seems to use the term differently. By providing a holistic overview of what innovation is, what it entails, and providing a framework to take practical action, entrepreneurs will be in a much better position to come up with more innovative ideas and solutions for their businesses and increase their chances of creating and sustaining successful businesses.

4th July 2024 1:30pm – 2:30pm BST with 30 minutes of optional time after the session for any questions.

Who is the training designed for?

English-speaking trainers, facilitators, and mentors who support new entrepreneurs to develop their ideas and start a new business, as well as those supporting entrepreneurs with existing businesses.

What Will the Attendee Gain from the Training?

Improve your ability and confidence to apply innovation to support both your organization and entrepreneurs to be more innovative with their business or business idea.

• You will have a simple and easy-to-understand definition of what innovation is
• You will learn practical tools and methods that you can apply to innovate and create innovative ideas to meet an entrepreneur’s business goals and needs
• You will gain confidence and increased capability and skills to innovate or support others to be more innovative

YBI will share drop-in sessions where members can attend and discuss and explore ways they can implement innovation content within their organisations and programmes.
