Aliança Empreendedora’s work consists of supporting companies, social organizations and governments in order for them to develop inclusive business models and projects to support low-income micro-entrepreneurs, expanding access to knowledge, networks, markets and credit so that they can start or develop their businesses. They create business, work and income generation opportunities via entrepreneurship, promoting social and economic inclusion and development.
Aliança Empreendedora was established by a group of graduates who became involved in supporting enterprise creation among low-income populations while participating in the Junior Enterprise scheme at university. Aliança started small, supporting just 10 entrepreneurs in Curitiba, their home-town about 300 km from São Paulo. Today, they carry out projects with companies, governments and NGOs throughout Brazil, supporting directly since its inception in 2005 more than 20,000 entrepreneurs.
