About Jamaica Youth Business Trust (JYBT)

Jamaica Youth Business Trust (JYBT) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) which is registered as an independent, private not-for-profit entity. It supports young entrepreneurs in rural and urban areas across the island. It ‘turns good ideas into good businesses’ offering a comprehensive, co-ordinated programme to assist young people in developing the necessary skills and attitudes to thrive.

JYBT’s vision is to be a lead and reputable organisation empowering young entrepreneurs to be job creators, future leaders and improve their lives through entrepreneurship. Their mission is to help young people, who would not otherwise have the opportunity, to develop their self-confidence, achieve economic independence, fulfill their ambitions and contribute to their community through the medium of self-employment and job-creation.
