Perspektiva is a leading organization with 28 years of experience in the design, execution and promotion of sustainable development programs that works through four lines of action: entrepreneurship, community development, education and environment.
Perspektiva, previously known as Colectivo Integral de Desarrollo (CID) has provided entrepreneurship training to more than 80,000 people since 1990 and helped start or strengthen 22,000 businesses through the provision of an integrated package of training, mentoring and access to start-up capital.
Peru has 8.2 million young people and its youth unemployment rate is almost three times higher than for adults. Nearly 450,000 of its youth are unemployed and over half of young Peruvians work in precarious conditions (according to ILO). Support to youth entrepreneurship would expand economic opportunities to Peru’s youth by allowing people to start their own businesses and provide employment opportunities for others. Perspektiva has a strong track record in youth entrepreneurship development in Peru. It was founded in 1990 and has since grown to cover 17 of Peru’s regions and become the ‘go to’ organisation for youth entrepreneurship in the country. Perspektiva also has experience of transferring their model to organisations in other countries.
