YBI welcomes new member in Myanmar, ONOW to our global network

YBI is delighted to welcome a new member in Myanmar, ONOW, to our global network of entrepreneurship support organisations (ESOs). ONOW works to reduce poverty through an entrepreneurship development system and women-centric approach. They strive to build a gender-friendly ecosystem in Myanmar and anywhere they work.

ONOW ran its first training programme in 2012 and has since supported more than 50,000 businesses in Myanmar. Their technology has been used by more than 300,000 people in Southeast Asia and in the USA.

ONOW is committed to delivering financially sustainable positive change. Theiry programmes focus on:

  1. Providing business training
  2. Supplying financial capabilities
  3. Offering coaching and digital support tools to Myanmar’s young entrepreneurs, especially migrant women

They have also created the ONOW Social Launch Fund which provides the capital that participants need to succeed with their business.

Matt Wallace, CEO of ONOW, says:

“It is a real honour to join YBI and such a tight knit group of business support organisations from around the world! We at ONOW are especially excited to learn from the journey of fellow members in the network. ONOW continues with our mission to walk with young women in Southeast Asia who are becoming successful business owners, and we hope to share our lessons learned in a way that supports the network. Thanks to YBI for this opportunity.”

We cannot wait to work closely with ONOW. They are bringing a wealth of expertise to our global network, and we look forward to working together to support young entrepreneurs to shape a better future for themselves and their communities.
