One of the inspiring agenda highlights of the YBI Global Youth Entrepreneurship Summit is always the young entrepreneurs’ marketplace. The marketplace showcases some of the finest youth-run businesses, all supported by local members of the YBI network. It provides attendees with the opportunity to meet and interact with young entrepreneurs who have benefited from the YBI network’s support.
This year’s Summit, taking place 8-10 October, will be held in Nairobi, Kenya, at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies. The marketplace will be open throughout Day 2. More than 25 youth-led businesses will be represented at the marketplace, all supported by YBI’s local members, Somo and CAP YEI. These entrepreneurs will be showcasing an array of products and services that reflect the diverse and creative approaches young people are taking to build sustainable businesses in today’s economy. Among those selling products and showcasing their business, the stalls will vary from footwear and clothing to sustainable farming, wall art and vegan food. Payment options will include M-Pesa, Paypal, and cash
This marketplace offers a fantastic opportunity for guests to not only support youth-led enterprises but also to take home unique souvenirs from their visit to Kenya. It adds a personal touch to the Summit experience, allowing visitors to witness the positive impact YBI members have had on these young entrepreneurs. The marketplace, like the Summit itself, is a celebration of youth innovation, entrepreneurship, and the power of global networks. You can learn more about the Summit agenda here.
